Robert Ryman (May 30, 1930 – February 8, 2019) was an American painter identified with the movements of monochrome painting, minimalism, and conceptual art. He was best known for abstract, white-on-white paintings. He lived and worked in New York City.
One of seven original aquatints by Robert Ryman. Each aquatint, hand signed and numbered by the artist, is printed on Rives BFK paper and has been pulled from copper plates by Kathan Brown and Patricia Branstead at Kathan Brown's workshop in Oakland, California. There were 60 copies made of this portfolio, numbered as follows:
Fifty copies numbered 1-50; ten copies lettered A-J, reserved for the artist, the publisher and the printer. Published November 1, 1972 by Parasol Press Ltd., New York.
